The information below is very important as you are making travel plans and preparing to stay in the Teen lodge. All of this information can also be found at the program websites on the Teen Lodge page.TravelIf the teen is traveling with his/her parents, please be sure to arrive in Beaver Creek in time for the 3:00pm CSI Teen Lodge check in and meeting on Sunday, June 19th. If flying in and out of the Denver airport, be sure to allow 2 hours at the Denver airport for check in and security. Really!Check-OutRoom Check at 9:00 am and Check out at 10:00 on Saturday. (Early check out is possible if needed.) Also remember that we are over two hours away from the Denver airport as you make your travel arrangements. At Room Check, each student will inspect the condition of the room along with a CSI Teen counselor and Beaver Creek Lodging staff. Any damages incurred during the student’s stay will be the responsibility of the students.What to bring?June weather in the mountains of Colorado can range from the 30’s to the 80’s. Packing layered clothing is the safest bet in order to keep warm in the evenings and mornings, and cool in the afternoon sunshine. There is also always a chance of a daily shower. Make sure to include concert clothes as well. See the Teen Lodge website for a complete list!IllnessIf you are too ill to attend class, notify a counselor. If you get ill during class, tell your teacher and then go to the CIM front desk. Students who are ill enough to miss class or rehearsals are expected to remain in their room.MealsMeals will be provided to each student as part of the program. Meals for Colorado Suzuki Institute teen lodge begin with dinner on Sunday and will continue through breakfast on Saturday. Breakfast will be provided in each condo. Lunch will be at the Dusty Boot and dinners will be out at various Beaver Creek restaurants. MoneyStudents should bring a small amount of spending money.PhonesStudents are asked to not use their phones during class or after “lights out” each evening. Parents should be able to reach their children in the morning, between classes, and each evening before “lights out.” We will also provide contact information for our teen counselors so you can reach them at any time. Calls from room to room within lodging are free, just dial the room number. All other local calls are $.75 per call. Room occupants are responsible for all charges to the room.Evening ActivitiesAfter the nightly musical events are over, there are scheduled activities such as hikes, movies in the teen lounge, and more. Be sure to bring the appropriate clothing to enjoy these activities. The Teen Lodge Code of ConductTHE FOLLOWING WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE PARENTAL NOTIFICATION REGARDING DISCIPLINARY ACTION AND POSSIBLE DISMISSAL:1. Boys in girls’ sleeping rooms OR girls in boys’ sleeping rooms2. Smoking3. Use of illegal drugs or substances 4. Illicit or wrongful use of legal drugs or substances5. Violation of curfew6. Leaving Beaver Creek Resort without a counselor7. Disruptive behavior8. Absences from class/truancy The Director of Music of the Colorado Institute of Music shall have complete discretion as to any dismissal of a student from the Institute. In the event of any such dismissal, the student’s parent or legal guardian understands and agrees that they shall be responsible for any and all costs required to transport the student back to his or her legal address.
